(Duluth, MN) December 6, 2016 – Super One Foods and its customers have joined together to give a record-setting gift to the Miller-Dawn Foundation in support of Solvay Hospice House, the region’s only end-of-life care facility. Eleven regional Super One stores offered paper ornaments available for purchase for $1 throughout the month of November. This year, the campaign raised more than $14,000, a new record and almost double the amount given last year. “We’re honored to partner with Super One and the Miner family on this annual campaign,” says Miller-Dwan Foundation president Traci Marciniak. “This year’s record-setting giving shows not only how generous our community is, but also how much the Solvay Hospice House is valued in our region.”
This was the ninth year of the ornament campaign, which has raised a total of almost $72,000, with 100 percent of the proceeds supporting Solvay Hospice House. Since opening in 2007, Solvay Hospice House and its compassionate caregivers have provided high-quality, dignified end-of-life care to hundreds of patients and their families from throughout our region.
