About ARTcetera

Mark your calendar for ARTcetera 2013, which will be held on September 28 at the DECC's Harbor Side Convention Center and Ballroom. More information will be available soon!

ARTcetera is the Miller-Dwan Foundation's premier fundraiser and features a gourmet dinner and auction of art, luxury items, special experiences and travel opportunities. In the years since its inception, this successful event has raised, after expenses, a net of more than $2.5 million for the advancement of medical concerns in the region.

The outpouring of support and enthusiasm for ARTcetera continues to increase each year, allowing it to flourish and evolve. The event is generously supported by many segments of the community, including regional artists, community members and local businesses that donate auction items or provide underwriting, as well as numerous volunteers who share their time by serving on our committees or by assisting at the event.

ARTcetera events have done much to draw attention to and create support for specific health care concerns in our communities. ARTcetera 2012, 2011, 2010 and 2008 featured custom-designed and built playhouses, and along with ARTcetera 2009, these five events raised funds for Amberwing - Center for Youth & Family Well-Being.

ARTcetera 2007, 2006 and 2005 featured a total of seven custom-designed and built playhouses and raised funds for Solvay Hospice House. ARTcetera 2004, 2003 and 2002 raised funds for the creation of the Caring Ways Cancer Resource Center. ARTcetera 2001 raised funds dedicated to the purchase of a new Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) Linear Accelerator. ARTcetera 2000's proceeds were directed to improved radiation oncology and cancer treatment services for our region. In its first year, ARTcetera 1999 benefited the Abilities First Fund, which serves those in our region with disabilities.
